Camp Pendleton ASYMCA Golf Classic
The ASYMCA Golf Classic is one of two annual fundraisers and provides approximately 25 - 30% of the funds needed for our operating budget. Golfers enjoy a pre-golf event prior to the shotgun start and then we conclude the day with the post golf event.
Camp Pendleton ASYMCA Mud Run
San Diego Gas and Electric (SDG&E) has been the long time Title Sponsor of our second annual fundraiser. Approximately 4,000-4,500 runners participate in the 10k course full of mud and obstacles. While the mud hasn’t changed since we started this event in 1991, the race participants seem to enjoy this event more each year. In 2010, our Mud Run will move to the 3rd Saturday in June. This will allow us to save on operational costs by having the course established only once and ensure all obstacles have sufficient water resources. To guard against the course becoming too crowded with runners, we will limit the number of participants to guarantee a safe race.
The Mud Run provides approximately 20% of our annual operating budget.

Operation Appreciation
In May 2001, the City of Oceanside, North County Times, Oceanside Chamber of Commerce, and Camp Pendleton ASYMCA came together to host an event on Armed Forces Day where Service Members and their families would enjoy a day of free food, entertainment, and activities. It was such a success, the event has become an annual affair every third Saturday in May at the Oceanside Pier.
Operation Appreciation provides a wonderful opportunity for businesses, organizations, and community members to interact with the military community, and approximately 5,000 - 6,000 Service Members and their families enjoy the festivities each year.
